Agentic AI continues to be one of the more promising areas for venture capital in 2025 and a rising startup in the space just secured new funding to expand its reach in the workplace.

StackAI a no code platform based in San Francisco has raised 16 million dollars in a Series A round led by Lobby Capital. Other participants in the round include LifeX Ventures Vercel CEO Guillermo Rauch Weaviate CEO Bob Van Gradient startup accelerator Y Combinator and Epakon Capital.

Founded in 2022 StackAI helps companies build customizable AI agents that can interact with widely used software like Snowflake and Salesforce. These agents are designed to automate tasks such as data entry content aggregation and information categorization. The platform does not require any coding knowledge which makes it accessible to a broad range of organizations.

StackAI was part of Y Combinator’s Winter 2023 cohort and previously raised 3 million dollars in seed funding. That round included support from Gradient Epakon Capital Soma Capital True Capital Ventures and several angel investors.

What might be most surprising is the range of customers finding real value in the product. According to cofounder Bernard Aceituno some of the most significant early adopters have not been the usual tech companies but rather construction firms local governments and insurance providers. These are often the organizations with fewer internal technical resources but a real need for workflow automation.

Aceituno and his cofounder Antoni Rosino are far from no code users themselves. Both earned their PhDs in computer science and artificial intelligence at MIT graduating in 2022. Their academic background gives them a strong foundation for building sophisticated tools behind the scenes even as the front end remains simple for users.

According to Aceituno the company uses AI heavily within its own development process. Tools like Cursor and its own StackAI agents help the team build over 100 software integrations and stay ahead of the curve as new models and technologies emerge.

AI agents have been drawing significant interest from investors across the tech landscape. In the past month alone several other startups in the space closed major deals. Reco which builds cybersecurity agents raised 25 million dollars from Insight Partners. Artisan which aims to replace repetitive human work with AI raised another 25 million from Glade Brook Capital. Spur which focuses on using AI agents to debug websites secured a 4.5 million dollar seed round from First Round and Pear.

StackAI is now well positioned to continue growing in a market that is rapidly shifting toward automated solutions. The company’s ability to blend deep technical expertise with accessible design is likely part of what helped it stand out to investors in a crowded and fast moving field.
